Abstract
ABSTRACT
A report is presented on an infant requiring treatment for an extensive lymphangioma on the neck, floor of the mouth, base of the skull, pharynx, larynx, thorax and mediastinum. Treatment was delivered with the Nd-YAG laser. The tumor segments in the pharynx and larynx were resected in the pulsed mode; those in the neck and thorax were coagulated with the interstitial thermotherapy (ITT) technique, and the mediastinal tumor was extirpated in the fibertome mode. The now 1 1/2-year-old child is free from recurrence.
