Abstract
A child with asthma exacerbated by ethylenediamine in an aminophylline injection is described. He developed an immediate or late asthmatic reaction after intravenous administration and showed positive immediate skin reactions and a proliferative response of lymphocytes to ethylenediamine. The immediate asthmatic reaction was accompanied by an increase in plasma histamine concentration.
