1.With each annually update the data is verified, validated for the current and previous years and, if necessary, revised . This is always done according to best practice, based on the knowledge that was known at the time of data collection. In 2023, the data for PE and PP based on bio-based naphtha have been revised as only 10% of the total volume published previously is known to be biobased. The other 90 % are mass balance and free attribution (MBFA) . Additionally, the methodology for starch-containing polymer compounds (SCPC) has been changed (see full report for details). These two adaptations lead to a change in the data that was published in 2022 .
