Abstract
ABSTRACT
In order to bridge the gap from laboratory scale incineration studies and those in full scale technology, the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency concluded that a dedicated and fully characterized pilot scale incinerator was required. The outcome of this decision was the USEPA Combustion Research Facility (CRF) located in Jefferson, Arkansas. This paper is a description of that facility and, more specifically, of the incineration technology presently available there and of the supporting laboratories.
