Abstract
G-banded chromosomes of the BW147.G.1.4.OUAR.1. cell line were analyzed. Number of chromosomes ranged from 40 to 49, the great majority of the cells (80%) having 43 or 44 chromosomes. Each cell presents a group of normal and a group of abnormal chromosomes most of which arose from complex rearrangements. As the abnormal chromosomes are characteristic for this subline and consistently appear in all cells, they can be considered marker chromosomes. Thirteen different marker chromosomes have been identified.
