Abstract
ABSTRACT
The adsorption characteristics of pentachlorophenol (PCP) were studied to evaluate its potential attenuation in a subsurface environment. The results of the batch and continuous flow indicated high PCP adsorption to the solid phase. The high organic content of the soil sample collected from a landfill site west of Ottawa, Ontario, contributed to the observed high adsorption affinity of the PCP.
