Abstract
ABSTRACT
An investigation of cover liners at hazardous and non-hazardous disposal facilities is described. Liners are typically constructed above waste landfills to impede the movement of moisture into the waste, thereby reducing the volume of moisture available for leachate generation. Leachate is a potential source of groundwater contamination. Thus, there has been a growing concern for adequately designed cover systems.
