Abstract
ABSTRACT
Nine hazardous waste facilities in Finland, Sweden, and West Germany are described. Their use of physical/chemical treatment, incineration, and secure landfill is outlined. Effective use of these processes is in progress at these locations. The technology is not exotic, but the application of existing methodology to solve hazardous waste problems has proceeded further in these countries than in the U.S. Air and water monitoring systems used are also presented.
