Abstract
Background:
Oligohydramnios is a condition in pregnancy characterized by deficiency of amniotic fluid, usually caused by fetal urinary-tract anomalies.
Case:
A 24-year-old primigravida, at 35 weeks of gestation, presented with a pregnancy complicated by oligohydramnios in which penile agenesis was found in the neonate.
Results:
The neonate expired within few hours of birth.
Conclusions:
Any case of oligohydramnios presenting with no history of leakage of liquid and no evidence of any other maternal or placental factors associated with oligohydramnios warrants a detailed sonographic fetal imaging for any associated congenital malformations. (J GYNECOL SURG 30:312)
