Abstract
Abstract
The elderly population has become an increasingly large part of the total population, and this group has shown higher rates of comorbid disease. A review of the literature supports the belief that advanced age does not seem to be a contraindication for conventional or laparoscopic surgery. However, considering the high comorbidity of elderly patients, conducting an overall risk assessment and an adequate hemodynamic monitoring is highly recommended. (J GYNECOL SURG 25:61)
