Abstract
Background: The occurrence of huge vesical calculi complicating genital prolapse is rare. But it may lead to obstructive uropathy, as well as a management dilemma for the treating clinicians. In this paper, we report on a 70-year-old woman who presented with a uterovaginal prolapse with a single, large vesical calculus, which led to an incarceration of the prolapsed uterus and obstructive uropathy. She underwent a vaginal hysterectomy and cystolithotomy procedure, which resulted in the resolution of uropathy.
