Abstract
The ligasure is a bipolar clamping device utilized in open and laparoscopic surgery for producing hemostasis in large vascular pedicles. This case report discusses the induction of a thermal, ureteral injury associated with the use of the ligasure. The mechanisms of action and injury are discussed. (J GYNECOL SURG 21:81)
