Abstract
Introduction: Lymphoepithelial carcinoma of the uterine cervix is rare. Fortunately, these lesions are responsive to treatment, and patients typically have a favorable prognosis. Case report: In this paper, we discuss the case of a 54-year-old woman who presented with pelvic pain. Imaging studies demonstrated an 11 × 6 cm complex pelvic mass. The patient was treated with abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Final pathology revealed invasive lymphoepithelial-like carcinoma. She remains free of disease with 3 years of follow-up. Conclusions: Lymphoepithelial carcinoma of the cervix is a rare entity with few reports of clinical outcome following treatment.
