Abstract
ABSTRACT
The progress made in laparoscopic surgery now enables increasingly complex procedures to be carried out. We report here a new technique for the laparoscopic surgical treatment of genital prolapse. This technique, derived from the laparotomy technique described by Kapandji, enables support defects of the bladder, uterus, and rectum to be treated. The lateral iliac fixation of the two meshes used for the colpo-uterine suspension avoids approaching the promontory and performing extensive peritonization. (J GYNECOL SURG 14:153, 1998)
