Abstract
ABSTRACT
A 32-year-old woman with a previous right salpingectomy for ectopic pregnancy underwent laparoscopy for a recurrence of tubal pregnancy in the left tube. After laparoscopic salpingectomy, postoperative monitoring of β-hCG levels showed elevation of serum concentrations. Persistent β-hCG levels in this case must be attributed to a secondary implant in the abdominal cavity. Surgical behavior to avoid this rare complication and its management is discussed.
