Abstract
ABSTRACT
Congenital anomalies of the female genital tract are not uncommon but may be missed by a less than careful clinical examination. We describe a case of unilateral invasive adenosquamous carcinoma of the cervix in a uterus didelphys. The diagnosis of didelphys was not made until the patient's surgical consultation. Failure to appreciate the presence of a second cervix may have contributed to a delay in diagnosis and to the late stage at presentation. (J GYNECOL SURG 12:213, 1996)
