Abstract
ABSTRACT
Although single bilateral mature teratomas are common, the presence of separate distinct tumors within the same ovary is quite rare. We present a case of bilateral multiple mature cystic teratomas that recurred following conservative management. Careful identification of this subset of multiple tumors pathologically may yield epidemiologic information useful in determining if conservative management is as appropriate as in the more usual singular form.
