Abstract
ABSTRACT
Three patients with chronic tubal pregnancies are presented. The first two patients were treated for dysfunctional uterine bleeding for several weeks before the correct diagnosis was reached. The third patient was diagnosed during laparoscopic evaluation of infertility. A positive β-subunit human chorionic gonadrotropin assay (β-HCG) was of significance in reaching the correct diagnosis in one patient. A negative test was found in two patients. Pelvic ultrasound findings in one patient were nonspecific. The diagnosis of chronic tubal pregnancy was confirmed by surgical intervention. (J GYNECOL SURG 9:213, 1993)
