Abstract
ABSTRACT
This case report demonstrates another role for the laparoscopist during hystroscopic division of intrauterine synechiae with the laser, namely, observation of the transtubal passage of smoke, allowing the hysteroscopist to assess the surgery at that point. The smoke alarm may be useful in assessing tubal patency and may also serve to alert the surgeon to the risk of potentially breaching the uterine musculature. (J GYNECOL SURG 9:179, 1993)
