Abstract
ABSTRACT
Laser laparoscopy and assisted reproductive treatments (in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer and gamete intrafallopian transfer) have been combined in a group of infertile patients. Successful pregnancies have been established. The ongoing pregnancy rate appears to be significantly higher for patients treated with laser surgery at the time of assisted reproductive treatments (ART). Advantages and benefits of combined therapy include decreased morbidity and cost of treatment. Disadvantages include decreased visualization of pelvic organs and inability to perform chromotubation.
