Abstract
ABSTRACT
Carbon dioxide laser surgery of the cervix has become an accepted method of treating cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Laser surgery of the cervix is reported to have few complications, particularly pelvic inflammatory disease. This report describes a patient with a past history of acute salpingitis who developed a unilateral tubo-ovarian abscess following carbon dioxide laser excisional conization.
