Abstract
ABSTRACT
Nine patients with histologically confirmed cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade III (CIN III) were treated locally with high-dose interferon in gel suspension by means of an occlusive cup 4 weeks before conization. No positive effects were shown. Papanicolaou smears and colposcopies during treatment proved inconclusive, possibly due to a masking effect on dysplasia by the interferon.
