ABSTRACT
The problem of pain during carbon dioxide laser evaporation of the cervix is analyzed. Two series of patients are presented, the first without anesthesia and the second using four-puncture paracervical block. The advantages of four-puncture paracervical block are discussed. In the series presented there was a significant improvement in the cure rate in patients receiving their initial treatment with CO2 laser for CIN with paracervical block anesthesia.
