Abstract
ABSTRACT
Lateral angle sutures were eliminated from 20 of 54 patients undergoing CO2 laser conization of the cervix. No differences in intraoperative blood loss, requirement for sutures, or postoperative hemorrhage were noted in these patients. Omission of lateral angle sutures does not compromise patient outcome and results in a decrease in operative time and potentially less tissue reaction.
