Abstract
A prostatic cyst communicating with the left seminal vesicle was drained transperineally using a peridural anesthesia needle and catheter set under transrectal sonographic guidance. The radiopaque catheter coiled inside the cavity and was left indwelling for 3 days with minimal discomfort for the patient, obtaining satisfactory and persistent emptying, whereas simple needle aspiration performed earlier had been followed by recurrence of the cyst.
