Abstract
Renal pelvic tilling defects as demonstrated on intravenous urography present a diagnostic challenge to the urologist and the radiologist, as the precise etiology of such a finding is not always evident, even by means of the latest imaging techniques. We report two cases with unclear renal pelvic filling defects diagnosed as aberrant renal papillae with the aid of a flexible nephroscope via the percutaneous route.
