Abstract
A case is presented wherein the traditional management of transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the renal pelvis by nephroureterectomy was contra-indicated by the presence of impaired overall renal function. Alternative treatment by endoscopic resection of tumor followed by intrapelvic chemotherapy with mitomycin C has rendered the patient free of tumor with close monitoring for 30 months.
