Retracted: The Fabrication of Magnetically Recyclable La-Doped TiO 2 /Calcium Ferrite/Diatomite Composite for Visible-Light-Driven Degradation of Antibiotic and Disinfection of Bacteria
officially retracts the paper entitled, “The Fabrication of Magnetically Recyclable La-Doped TiO2/Calcium Ferrite/Diatomite Composite for Visible-Light-Driven Degradation of Antibiotic and Disinfection of Bacteria,” by Qiong Wu and Zhaohong Zhang (Environ Eng Sci. 2020:37(2):109–119. (doi: 10.1089/ees.2019.0202) due to the lead author, Dr. Qiong Wu, falsely and inappropriately adding Dr. Zhaohong Zhang as a co-author.
Dr. Zhaohong Zhang contacted the journal and requested to be removed as an author of the published paper. The publisher referred the complaint to the authors' institution (Liaoning University, Shenyang, P.R. China) and they initiated an inquiry. The results of that inquiry determined that Dr. Wu dishonestly added Dr. Zhang to the paper without Dr. Zhang's knowledge or permission. This is considered a serious violation of the standard and proper protocols of scientific publishing, and therefore, the journal officially retracts the paper.
