Abstract
Abstract
This paper discusses the survival plight of persons who have developed sensitivities to chemicals and/or electromagnetic exposures during the current highly polluted and corporate-driven period in history. I describe the condition known as environmental sensitivities, its prevalence, symptoms, and life impacts, giving attention to medical care, housing, employment, and quality of life. I also discuss special efforts by persons with the condition to continue to function in a culture that offers them little access and then contextualize the problem within ecopsychology. Key Words: Ecopsychology—Environmental health—Overconsumption—Values—Indigenous worldviews.
