In this Ecopsychology Journal interview, Editor Thomas Doherty spoke with environmental sociologist and American Psychological Association fellow Riley Dunlap. Interview topics included influential events in Dunlap's academic career and his presence at the genesis of environmental sociology in the 1970s. Dunlap offered insights on the development of the influential New Ecological Paradigm measure and the distinction between a human exemptionalism paradigm and an ecological paradigm in sociology, the social sciences, and the larger culture. Dunlap also described his recent work tracking the politicization of global climate change and recognized the contributions of his late colleague, sociologist William Freudenberg.
