Abstract
The purpose of the Young Scholar Award is to highlight the research achievements of the next generation of scientists. All articles with an undergraduate or graduate student first author and submitted to DNA and Cell Biology from July 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008 were eligible for the award, which included a $750 prize from Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. Publishers. The winner was selected by the Senior Editors of DNA and Cell Biology.
