Abstract
This article provides a review of the literature for lifestyle changes that affect quality of life following bariatric surgery. A PubMed search was conducted for the terms lifestyle changes, bariatric surgery, and function, employment, physical activity, social functioning, and sexual activity. Additionally, five obesity-specific instruments validated in the literature were reviewed for key findings. Additional research is needed for several of the lifestyle domains, where available citations are dated.
