Abstract
This article discusses some of the issues specifically associated with women and HIV. The myth is that women do not get AIDS and that lesbians do not get AIDS either. It also explores the unique sociocultural context in which HIV-infected women exist. The hope is to put faces on the numbers that are increasing each day as women get infected, and to offer advice to therapists on how to deal with these issues.
