Abstract
Counselors and HIV-spectrum disease professionals who work with HIV-positive women recognize that these women have unique concerns and needs. Reproduction is one such area. This article discusses the results of a study of reproductive decision-making in order to provide counselors with an improved understanding of HIV-positive women's coping strategies, modes of thinking, and responses to pregnancy. Recommendations are given for health and social service professionals to better meet the needs of HIV-positive women.
