Abstract
Background:
Ménière's disease is a disabling disorder for which mainstream medicine treatment is far from satisfactory. Acupuncture has much to offer, especially for stabilizing hearing loss.
Case:
A 35-year-old man, who was diagnosed with Ménière's disease and treated by an otolaryngologist, requested acupuncture treatment because of continuing vertigo. He was treated with acupuncture; this approach to treating Ménière's disease is discussed.
Results:
Acupuncture, using points to address the underlying Disharmony pattern resulted in near-total relief of this patient's symptoms.
Conclusions:
Acupuncture is an effective method of treatment for addressing Ménière's disease; this is supported by studies.
