Abstract
Historically, Hua Tuo Jai Ji points are important points in acupuncture treatment. The anatomical location of Hua Tuo Jai Ji points produces compelling results in treating pain related to spinal disorders, neurological disorders, and internal organ disorders. Ways of locating the points have been divided among practitioners. This lack of unity affects communication among practitioners and profoundly affects clinical outcome. Based on the development of techniques of spinal interventional treatment and neuroanatomical knowledge, the author proposes to use the root of spinal transverse process as the landmark to identify the Hua Tuo Jai Ji points.
