Abstract
Reusable instruments used in surgery are potentially dangerous as carriers of disease. Hair restoration surgery depends on the skill of the surgeon and assistants; the instruments used are relatively simple. Many single-use instruments are currently available. Development of this form of instrumentation depends upon demand. A range of disposable instruments for hair restoration will become available in the near future. All surgical specialties may use disposable instruments in the future.
