Breast Augmentation with Gel Cohesive Silicone Prosthesis: A New Standard of Excellence

Abstract

A new standard in material for breast prostheses has recently been set by the recent introduction of the SILTEX low-bleed gel-filled mammary prosthesis (Mentor H/S, Santa Barbara, CA, USA). The author has utilized this material extensively for augmentation breast pexy, and reconstruction after mastectomy in more than 200 cases in the last 2 years. Clinical results and complications are presented here.
