Abstract
Chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser resurfacing for skin rejuvenation have always been a challenge in the dark-skinned patient. Reactive overproduction of melanin following external injury discourages physicians to treat skin defects such as rhytids, acne scars, and dyschromias in such individuals. The authors have found that Exoderm, for skin rejuvenation, can be used safely in the olive and dark-skinned patient.
