Abstract
Irregularities after liposuction are relatively common and result from weight gain, cellulite, and the prior surgical technique. The authors treated such irregularities by separating the fibrotic tissue in the subcutaneous area from the dermis without liposuction, using external vacuum (endermology). Sixty-one percent of patients experienced clinical resolution of the irregularities. Twenty-two percent of patients required repeat treatment with minimal liposuction after 3 months.
