Abstract
We report our experience of a 6-year-old boy with bilateral cryptorchidism and hypospadias who underwent the first step of a Fowler-Stephens operation laparoscopically. Persistent müllerian duct syndrome was diagnosed during laparoscopy when a uterus, fallopian tubes, and dysgenetic gonads were detected. It was decided to determine the karyotype and perform hormonal tests before abdominal exploration. The test results showed a 46,XY karyotype. During laparotomy, both testicles were found to be hypoplastic, so a bilateral orchidectomy was performed and all the müllerian duct remnants were resected.
