Abstract
Indications for pancreatectomy during infancy are rare, but when required, surgery has been performed as an open procedure. We describe a case in which a laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy with splenic preservation was carried out for an enlarging cystic lesion of the pancreas in a 3-month-old, 6-kg girl.
