Abstract
Laparoscopic pyloromyotomy is a minimally invasive surgical technique for the treatment of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis in the pediatric population. Previously proposed protocols require specially designed instrumentation that all centers may not have on hand. This paper introduces a simplified procedure for laparoscopic pyloromyotomy requiring only a Bovie knife and two pyloric spreaders. The modified instrumentation allows for a reduced number of port sites, which ensures a superior cosmetic outcome.
