Abstract
Douglas T. Dieterich, M.D., is a professor in the Department of Medicine at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Attending Physician at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Dieterich received a B.S. degree in Intensive Biology from Yale University, an M.P.S. degree in Health Care Administration from C.W. Post Center of Long Island University, and his M.D. degree from New York University School of Medicine. He has served on several committees of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), including as Chair of the Enteric Parasites Committee, Co-chair of the Protozoan Committee, a member of the Steering Committee of the Opportunistic Infections Core Committee, and a member of the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Committee. He has also served on the NIH Study Sections for CMV and cryptosporidiosis. Dr. Dieterich has served as co-principal investigator for clinical trials evaluating new therapeutic strategies for treating patients with HIV and hepatitis C infection.
