Abstract
Uterine inversion is a potentially catastrophic complication of childbirth. Uncontrolled blood loss can cause hemodynamic instability, and prompt replacement of the uterus is required. Small doses of intravenous nitroglycerin can be used to relax the uterus, allowing for definitive treatment, even in hypotensive patients.
