Abstract
Cover Photo: The East Wing of the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. One of the most majestic statehouses in the Nation, this enormous building was constructed in 1906-1917 in the American Renaissance style. It is unique among state capitols in that it is has four equivalent wings, each oriented to a cardinal point on the compass. Because of this feature, the building has no obvious front.
