Abstract
Statue of a contemplative Lincoln, sculpted by Daniel Chester French, standing before the west façde of the Nebraska State Capitol. A bas-relief of Lincoln granting the Emancipation Proclamation is over the east porter of this famous building. The city in which it is located, once known as Lancaster, was renamed after the Great Emancipator in 1867. Photo and description by Charles T.
