Abstract

Will detail a developmental model of post-disaster PTSD. Results from Cyclone Larry will include logistical regression modelling of PTSD, anxiety/depression and family dysfunction outcomes, including the significant findings of elevated PTSD in the exposed, evacuated, social disconnected youth. Family resilience findings include a relationship with depression but not PTSD. Implications for early case identification, use of an abbreviated screening form and service delivery based on screening will be discussed.
