Integrate spiritual and psychiatric issues, in the context of an ethical and professional approach. This will include an increased awareness of the advantages and dangers of addressing spiritual issues within psychiatric practice.
Use a range of screening questions to assess the relevance of spiritual issues for the patient.
Have a framework for understanding and assessing the spiritual context within the biopsychosocial paradigm.
Integrate a Christian spiritual approach into treatment, including
psychotherapy, particularly focusing on psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches other modalities, including biological and systems issues.
To be more able to maximise the use of referral networks within the church and parachurch settings.
