Abstract

Cognitive neuroscience as well as experimental psychology have brought about a large number of new data on mind-brain processes that are-in most cases – opaque to the subject. In other words, we do know much more about the workings of the “mental machinery” than we did ten years ago. Topics will include: Limits to access to our own brain processes. Improved access via brain scanning. Non-conscious decision making in animals and real people. Evaluation. Social psychological experiments on buying and selling, on trust and on fairness.
